The Anti-Puffiness massage Gel contains a blend of water, emollient squalane, slip agents, thickeners, and vitamin E, along with meager amounts of plant extracts, none capable of reducing puffy skin. The second portion is the Cooling Mask, which doesn't cool skin with menthol but does contain alcohol and a hairspray-like film-forming agent that can tempotarily smooth skin and make it feel tighter. None of the ingredients in either product can control skin's fluid balance, although the alcohol in the Cooling Mask may cause some superficial dehydration. |
| You're directed to massage this in circular motions over skin, with no need to rinse. The solution has in its base a bitter-orange extract, which is a fragrant extract and a skin irritant, so things aren't off to a good start. Salicylic acid (BHA) is included, at about a 1% concentration, but the AHAs touted on the label are sugarcane and apple extracts, neither of which are true AHAs that can exfoliate skin, or at least not with any supporting research. |

"...if a person decides to produce and sell raw vegetable juice for use in juice therapy to promote optimal health... [and] if the juice therapy is intended for use as part of a disease treatment regimen instead of for the general wellness, the vegetable juice would also be subject to regulation as a drug under the Act. |

Use a pure plant oil, such as olive oil, after your moisturizer over dry areas: At night, after you've applied your moisturizer, massage a few drops of plant oil over stubborn dry areas. Pure olive oil is a great option because it is rich in antioxidants.
• Don't forget your lips: The skin on lips is the least capable of staying smooth and soft when the ait becomes dry. Your lips lack the lipids and cell structure the rest of the face has and, as a result, they are far more vulnerable to the effects of dry air. During the day apply and reapply an emollient lipstick or gloss. |

Mechanical exfoliant is just a fancy name for scrubs, brushes, or washcloths that remove skin cells as you massage them over the skin. Even when a scrub's particles are small and uniform in size, this procedure can srill abrade the skin and be harsher than necessary, causing damage and affecting the skin's healing process. That means that the major consideration for any topical scrub is that it must be gentle on the skin and not rough or overly abrasive. It is also important for it to rinse off easily without leaving any residue or greasy feel on the skin. |

The document specifically mentions massage oils and herbs as being subject to regulation, too. If this becomes adopted as the primary regulatory philosophy by the agency, the application of this thinking will inevitably expand.
Today, the FDA says it won't be attacking natural health clinics, breaking down doors with armed agents and arresting the healers inside. The quiet, behind-closed-doors practice of using medicinal herbs, homeopathic remedies, nutritional supplements or even Bach Flower Remedies will be tolerated... for now. |

After examining this list, it's not difficult to notice something quite curious: The cancer industry promotes many things that cause cancer while attacking most things that prevent cancer. |

FDA "experts" will decide what's a drug or medical device
Under these proposed guidelines, FDA "experts" (the same corrupt officials who reapproved Vioxx after it killed over 50,000 Americans) will decide whether herbs, supplements, vitamins or simple devices like massage stones are to be regulated as drugs and medical devices. If the FDA experts, in their infinite wisdom, decide that these things are to be reclassified, they will essentially be outlawed, stripped from the shelves, and regulated out of existence. |

Masseurs apply different techniques and approaches depending on their particular training. It is important you seek a qualified and reputable masseur. Without a doubt, a weekly massage will improve your overall wellbeing, whether it is for a medical condition or just to relieve stress. If you are in any doubt, try it for three months and experience the luxury of being pampered—a glorious feeling that modern drugs cannot match. |

The holistic approach also takes into account nutrition, subtle energy imbalances, counselling and skin care. Aesthetic aromatherapy is the use of oils by beauty therapists to treat skin problems and aid relaxation and weight control. |
| Nevertheless, massage does not tickle and a trained reflexologist will resolve any sensitivity with appropriate techniques. Some degree of pain can be experienced when a reflex point is pressed: this can indicate a problem in the area of the body related to that particular point.

| Shiatsu
Shiatsu is a Japanese term (from shi, finger and atsu, pressure) for a stimulating massage technique used for the relief of pain or chronic stiffness and to help strengthen bones, to tone up poor circulation, the nervous and immune systems and improve the body's metabolism. It's no longer just finger pressure, though, as the thumbs, palms and heels of the hands, forearms, elbows, knees and even feet are also used to stimulate the flow of life force (chi) along the body's energy paths (meridians), by applying pressure to the hundreds of surface points. |

The most commonly treatments were herbal medicines,7 massage, megavitamins, self-help groups, folk remedies, energy healing, and homeopathy. Alternative medicine was most often used to treat chronic conditions such as back problems, anxiety, and headaches. The authors suggest that some of the above are "more alternative," some "less." In this latter category are biofeedback, hypnosis, guided imagery, relaxation techniques, "lifestyle diet," and vitamin therapy, which, together accounted for less than 10% of total visits to alternative medical practitioners. |

If you want to help a sick person but do not know how, hold his/her hand in yours or gently hold or massage his/her feet. This does more to help the person's condition than any amount of sympathetic words could do. The body remembers a loving touch more vividly than spoken words and it reproduces the same drugs whenever it links into the "touching" feeling through remembering. |

The kit comes with instructions on how to carefully massage your wrinkles, depending on whethet or not they are vertical or horizontal lines, or crow's feet around the eyes. These instructions are meaningless, because nothing about this tool (or massaging wrinkles in any possible way) will relax or change expression lines or prep wrinkles for treatment with the gel. If anything, manipulating or pulling the skin too much will eventually lead to sagging, and that certainly won't make a wrinkle less apparent! |

Stimulants Make Strong People Weak
All stimulants are "sweet" when ingested but "bitter" in their effects. You can become addicted to them without even recognizing your dependency. If you are used to drinking a few cups of coffee a day, try this: Go on a "coffee fast," which means having no coffee for an entire day, and observe how you feel as the day progresses. |

Headache sufferers should check any medication they are taking for side effects. Prescription drugs are the single most common cause of headaches in older people. The risk is higher if you take multiple medications. In addition, common migraine triggers include acidic, processed foods and beverages such as soft drinks, sugar, chocolate, dairy products, fish, meat, eggs, peanuts and other nuts. |
